THE ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAM 2023 – 2024
As we approach the conclusion of another year, heartfelt wishes are extended to the arts education program at Ayadina Association. We are incredibly grateful to all the parents who have entrusted us with the opportunity to teach their children a diverse range of artistic disciplines. This year has been filled with creativity and vibrancy, and we eagerly anticipate continuing to inspire and foster the talents of our young participants in the future.
Here’s a recap of all the fun things we did over the last couple of months at Ayadina!
As part of an EU-funded project awarded to Berghof Foundation, “Ayadina Association” has been selected to complete the project entitled “Breaking the chains of generational war trauma: A path to healing and resilience” that contributes to addressing past misconceptions/stereotypes and build outreach for future vision in Lebanon.
Clowning workshop
The clowning workshop entitled “Healing through clowning” was addressed by Mrs. Layale Ghanem. Our kids had a blast learning about different clowning techniques and getting all dressed up in the most creative characters.
Visual Arts workshop
Here are our kids during the Visual Arts workshop led by the renowned artist Maral Maniss. The children got the chance to create their globe-like vases with a bouquet of colorful flowers.
Acting Workshop
In our acting workshop, led by the playwright, actor, and producer Marcel Ghosn, participants used theater techniques to explore the emotions tied to wartime Lebanon. Through role-play and scene enactment, teens expressed their views and feelings. The key areas covered included communication, concentration, stage presence, voice projection, and character portrayal.
Storytelling workshop
During our storytelling workshop, under the guidance of Mrs. Nisrine Ojeil, the focus was on the power of storytelling, particularly in the context of healing. Through a series of activities and prompts, participants engaged with and shared personal stories related to the Lebanese Civil War. Teenagers used prompts to articulate their experiences of the Civil War and navigate the narratives passed down from older generations. The workshop uncovered several writing talents and provided a therapeutic outlet for all involved.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the EU and the Berghof Foundation for selecting Ayadina Association to implement this project.
On May 23rd, Ayadina Association proudly invited its students to enjoy a circus show called “Under the Stars” by the world-renowned performer Ezekial Guiragossian at the center. The children had an incredible time watching his clowning tricks and thoroughly enjoyed the event.
At Ayadina Association, the last session with the kids was truly special. As parents and kids embraced the magic of dancing and drawing, every moment was filled with love, art, and laughter.

On the 3rd of July, Ayadina Association invited all of its students for an end-of-year celebration. The children played many games, danced and had lots of fun! Our special students were also appreciated with gifts from Ayadina. A big thank you to Angela Khalil for making this day memorable and a notable thanks to Maro Arnelian for the balloon decorations.
As the artistic year at Ayadina Association comes to an end, we extend our warmest wishes to Ayadina’s family, children, parents, facilitators, supporters, board members, and staff. We wish everyone a happy summer vacation filled with joy, fun, and creativity.

- Ayadina Association will be closed from August 1 – August 15.

At Ayadina Association, our soup kitchen initiative continues to spread warmth, both in the hearts of the elderly and in their meals. Every Thursday, we have been preparing nourishing meals and distributing them to the elderly in our community, ensuring they receive the nutrition, the love, and the care they deserve.
Thank you for being a part of our journey!
